Regenerative Cellular Tissue aka Stem Cells
Are you looking for an effective treatment that provides all-natural pain relief and can truly heal what’s causing your pain? If your condition involves damaged or degraded tissues—cartilage, muscle, connective tissue, or bone—stem cells may be an ideal solution.
Our team of medical professionals has helped numerous patients get back to living full, active lives. Come in for a free consultation, and we will evaluate your condition, answer all of your questions, and help you decide if treatments containing regenerative cellular tissue is right for you.
What Are Stem Cells?
Stem cells’ power lies in the fact that they are “undifferentiated,” meaning they can become any type of cell the body needs. The organs and tissues that make up our bodies are built from many different kinds of cells, all of which originated from stem cells.
Stem cells within us make the new cells required to heal our tissues when they are damaged by an injury, illness, or wear from overuse or normal aging. But it is an unfortunate fact that the older we get, the less numerous and efficient or stem cells become. Our regenerative cellular tissue treatments contain stem cells. These treatments work by injecting stem cells and other growth factors directly into the area of damaged tissue to enhance the healing process.
Types of Stem Cells
“Stem cell therapy” may refer to treatments that use bone marrow stem cells or adipose tissue stem cells, —none of which we use.
Bone marrow stem cells are taken from the patient’s thighbone or hipbone using a drilling procedure that can be quite painful. Such an invasive procedure increases the patient’s risk of infection.
Adipose tissue stem cells, while easier to collect from the patient’s body fat, may carry risks associated with toxin build-up that is usually present in fat.
In addition, both bone marrow and adipose stem cells are no longer young—being the age of the patient—and we know stem cells lose their vitality as we age.
Stem Cell Regeneration
Or regenerative cell therapy treatments use Wharton's Jelly derived stem cells. These stem cells used in regenerative cell therapy are safely, painlessly, and ethically obtained from carefully screened donors during planned cesarean births. Wharton’s jelly is a substance found in newborn babies’ umbilical cords, and it contains a high concentration of mesenchymal stem cells. When these vibrant young cells are injected into your damaged tissue, they immediately begin to soothe inflammation, relieve pain, and regenerate new tissue.
Amniotic fluid is another regenerative therapy available at our center. Just like our mesenchymal stem cells, we source our amniotic fluid from reputable tissue banks regulated by the FDA. Amniotic fluid injections work in a similar manner to stem cell injections; they stimulate the regeneration of damaged tissue and can be just as effective for many conditions.
Regenerative cellular tissue injections are effective for almost all conditions where damaged tissue is the source of pain. Common conditions that respond well to regenerative treatments include joint pain in the knee, elbow, or hip, back pain involving herniated or bulging discs, damage to cartilage, torn ligaments, shoulder problems such as a torn rotator or labrum, and foot pain (e.g., plantar fasciitis).
